Food, Flower and Craft Market
Date of Event: 03/05/2008 - 18/05/2008
Almondvale Shopping Centre will shortly be hosting its first ever spring market offering shoppers of all ages an additional reason to visit the popular Livingston mall.
The event will run for 11 days between Saturday 3rd and Sunday 18th May on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, plus the Bank Holiday Monday (5th May).
The Food, Flower and Craft Market will be located in Civic Square, near the entrance to the mall, accessible from the new multi-storey car park.
The Market will feature specially erected wooden chalets, bringing a new shopping experience to the centre and a selection of new products.
Items on sale will include delicious food and drink plus individual crafts and gifts. Free entertainment will also be provided including live music, a cheese and wine tasting and the opportunity to make your own jewellery.
Jennifer Bruce, marketing manager of Almondvale Shopping Centre, said: “We are delighted to be bringing this completely new shopping experience to our visitors at Almondvale Shopping Centre. The market is a great way to introduce our customers to products that they normally wouldn’t find within the centre.
“We have had a great response from companies from far and wide and only have a limited number of chalets left to rent. We would therefore encourage companies interested in signing up to contact us now.”
One of the chalets will house Hannah Gifts, a new company formed by South African, Agnesia Agrella which will feature pampering body products imported from her homeland. Visitors will be the first in the country to be able to snap up these beautiful gifts as it will launch especially for the market.
Agnesia Agrella, director, Hannah Gifts said: “I am really looking forward to showcasing my products for the very first time at the market. I was looking for an event to launch my new company, and the market at Almondvale is the perfect opportunity.
“Shoppers may treat themselves to some of my pampering products including bath foam, luxury soap and silk make-up bags. The products are beautifully packaged in hand crafted wooden boxes and all made from organic materials providing a very unique gift.”
Amongst others, Juiceworx the fruit juice company based within Hush at the centre, will be selling a range of specially blended fruit juices and smoothies and Decadent Delights from Dunfermline will be bringing a wide selection of their delicious handmade cream and butter fudge.
