Spanish Football giant FC Barcelona – kicked off their Scottish roadshow tour today (Friday 4 July) at Almondvale Shopping Centre in Livingston – the first of five events set to take place ahead of the Catalan side’s matches against Hibernian and Dundee United scheduled for later this month.

Shopaholics, bargain hunters and window shoppers visiting Almondvale Shopping Centre this weekend (Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June) are in for a treat, as the Livingston hotspot puts a new spin on the term ‘retail therapy’.

From 10am – 5pm over both days, self employed therapist Lorraine Allan from West Calder and her colleagues will be providing shoppers with a host of indulgent treats including Indian head massage, neck and shoulder massage or Reiki. All proceeds will be donated to the centre’s chosen charity Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Almondvale Shopping Centre is to host its first ever ‘Get Green at Livingston event’ to encourage visitors to become more environmentally friendly.

From Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th June a number of eco organisations will be at the shopping centre, including West Lothian Council giving advice on aspects such as waste management and composting at home.

Shoppers turned up in their droves at Almondvale Shopping Centre’s Love January  event at the weekend (Sat 26th and Sun 27th Jan) to get a new look to kick start the New Year as well as raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care. People benefited from receiving everything from free manicures and hairstyling techniques to kick boxing demonstrations and fashion tips.
